Although this collection includes information relating to Geissler's time at the University of Georgia, much of the material deals with his non-UGA activities. Most of the papers in the collection were donated by Geissler's granddaughters, Barbara Noel Dowds and Ruth Marie Noel. They provided the papers to UGA Psychology Emeritus Professor Roger K. Thomas to use while researching his biographical chapter on Geissler for the book Southern Society for Philosophy and Psychology Presidents and Presidential Addresses edited by James L. Pate.

The collection consists of papers of George W. Radimersky from 1927-1987. The papers include correspondence, manuscripts, materials pertaining to the management of farm land in Monroe, South Dakota (1951-1957), materials documenting Radimersky's involvement with the Heidelberg University project (1969-1987), speeches, lectures, and photographs. The correspondence includes letters between Radimersky, his wife Ruth H. Radimersky, and family and friends documenting life in the United States as an immigrant working on farms in South Dakota (1923-1925), life in Germany between the two world wars and in post World War II Germany, and Radimersky's academic career. The manuscripts include studies and essays on medieval and modern German literature, poetry, and Radimersky's memoirs.
